Always the last wedding outfit to be considered
As a British children's brand who specialise in bespoke tweed waistcoats, we are overwhelmed with brides sending us photos of their husbands-to-be wearing their wedding suits (often in changing rooms) and asking if we can match the tweed for their pageboys. Generally we receive these messages with a only a month, sometimes just a couple of weeks to go.
Why are the smallest guys attending a wedding always left to the last minute?
We believe its because there isn't much out there for them, especially if your not going for the traditional 3 piece suit and unlike flower girls they don't tend to be included in glossy wedding photo shoots, but to top it all there is always that thought that it will never be worn again! Most weddings have some sort of budget and we guess the pageboy outfit is pretty low down on the list.
It seems as the big day approaches suddenly attentions are turned to what will the little guys will wear.
The greatest part about styling a pageboy is that it is pretty simple. Whether for a traditional church wedding or a bohemian beach celebration, a waistcoat is the perfect garment to ensure your pageboy is part of the theme.
Teamed with a crisp white shirt the waistcoat can be formally styled with smart trousers and bowtie or cool and casual with a pair chino shorts.
And the great advantage of a waistcoat, is it seamlessly integrates into any existing wardrobe and can be worn with jeans and a T-shirt after the big day.
We love a challenge at littleladiesandlords and will always try to accommodate any requests, its our pleasure to ensure the little guys look at cool and sophisticated as the big guys.
