'Captain Frederick Wentworth' is named after the fictional character in the novel Persuasion written by Jane Austen. He is thought to be the prototype of the new gentleman in the 19th century: a self-made man who makes his fortune by hard work rather than inheritance.
This waistcoat is made in a soft charcoal pure British wool Tweed and is fully lined in stunning mid grey and finished with classic football buttons.
All waistcoats are made to order so if you wish to change the back colour or buttons just let us know. Fabric swatches available for colour matching.
